Rose Martin Handmade Navajo Pearls

These Pearls? Are so far beyond anything I’ve ever had, it’s hard to accurately describe them but I’ll give it a whirl.

These are handmade by the premier bead maker Rose Martin. They are signed. They are handmade with sterling silver, Sonoran and Sonoran Mountain turquoise, Orange Spiny and some Red Spiny. There’s 3 strands of goodness hanging from some reallllllly cool end caps that are handmade and hand stamped. There’s round beads, saucer beads, stamped barrel beads. There’s rondel Spiny beads, heishi Spiny beads, heishi turquoise beads, oval turquoise beads.

The shortest strand measures right at 20″ stretched out end to end and it has a 2 1/2″ extender chain, as well. The other 2 strands are longer because they hang down below and I would say the longest is about 24 1/2″ stretched out. This strand weighs in at 194g so she’s heavy but not uncomfortably so.

The beads range in size from 5.5mm all the way up to a 20mm center bead on the longest strand. There’s so many different sizes and shapes, it’s interesting all through the strands. Coupled with the different shapes and style of stones, it’s realllly interesting along the whole piece.

When I say they’re handmade, that means they are hand cut or punched out of a sheet of sterling silver, hand drilled, hand stamped, hand soldered, hand buffed, hand strung. Rose Martin is such a master at her craft it’s just a pleasure to look at her pieces. Wearing them takes you to a whole ‘nother level.
